| The Blue Mountains Gazette contained an article today concerning locals at
Mt

are

The

| Why aren't these sets stabled with their pantographs lowered each evening
and

CityRail sets are usually stabled on the air - ie with pantos raised. At
certain locations where people are stupid enough to live near a train line
and then complain about it, they are usually stabled off the air. , eg
Blacktown, Liverpool, Cronulla.

I'm not qualified in V sets but they may have motor alternators like C sets
which are very noisy. Far less problems are encountered if trains are left
on the air.
