Re: [AUS] Just had a Long Weekend away from this Group!

Nice to hear all the ideas.
I guess I will have to stop being lazy, and as Yuri again pointed out,
dispose of Outlook and really try to learn agent!
The reason my kill files do not work well is because I am pretty interested
in what this group talks about. You tend to look at a thread and follow it a
short time before deciding that you really are not that interested. And then
an uninteresting group makes a turn and becomes very interesting [and that's
when we need to change the subject, something like: was instead of Re: ]
to see if others are might now be interested.
So , Yes! I find the group more interesting because I know everybody gives
it the once over, and constructive comments and new information are coming
from the broadest possible base. AusLoco etc are much more limited, or so I
have found.
My absolute fascination with the removal methods of the Comenge to Newport
being one such example. I am sure that this very unsafe
method of moving the train would never have been used 5 years ago! Although,
in those days we would have had the Yellow Van and as many as 20 people, or
more, in position within 40 minutes. Perhaps short cuts will continue, as a
means of overcoming both lack of man-power and funds, in Freight Australia,
or any other private railway, for that matter.[Public purse can always find
a way for paying the price]
