Re: {nsw} When to change trains

``mens rea'' has nothing to do with railway fines. You get them if you
intented to break the law or didn't intend to break the law.

it a straight out offence, not a crime and offence.

I can't see a problem going a further distance, for example when there
is trackwork along the East Hills line travellers are told to go to
Glenfield and travel via the Liverpool line.

Longer, a little more expensive... but that is what City Rail tells it
travllers, sometimes. This pratice has stopped recently. Unsure why..

The wording in the hand outs says a return ticket or single ticket is
between two stations .... dosn't say which way... also to note is that
in some cases the difference is only 2 cents or so.

And say you brought a ticket from Glenfield to the City... do you have
to only use the east hills line??? being the shorter distance....

Or when travelling to East Hills line stations...
Do you have to wait for an Sydenham service as being a shorter
distance..

I think not... the amount they charge is for the shortest distance
between stations, dosn't mean you have to go the shortest distance, as
at times this may not be praticable.. or logical.... particullay if
you had to wait for an Macarthur service from Central!!! particually
during the day, you would be waiting a while..
