Of course GSR sell rail travel not as the means to get from A to B but
as an experience itself.   (At least the Ghan and IP).

The shipping companies have done this for years - just look at the
number of cruises out of Singapore or Hong Kong that Qantas (Ansett
Singapore Airlines Cathay Pacific etc. etc.) will fly you to.
