Just goes to show how destructive the 'inner' freeway bypass would have been had it been chosen as the option for the Hume highway upgrade around Albury.  An ugly great concrete freeway wall through Albury station yard would have done wonders for the ambience of the station!  Thank goodness for small mercies.
