All U-boat cars have been withdrawn from service and disposed of - many to
preservation groups.

State Rail has retained a four car set for heritage purposes, but at the present
time, it requires considerable restoration work before it can be made
operational.   Perhaps in about twelve months time, or a little longer, it may be
able to make a welcome re-appearance.

SETS also has a number of U-boat cars and hopes to be able to get a set back on
the road.
