M>Comeng & Bayside Hitachi

Hi all

Today I saw the M>Comeng come into the Newport workshops under its own power
and then get moved back out by a black Y class locomotive.  The sides of it
where still blank sliver, and it actually doesn't look that bad at all.
Does anybody know what the interior is like?  If they have put carpet in
them they are stupid.  The rumour that I have heard is that it is to be
launched sometime this wk, the 15/2 at Essendon stn is one date/location
that I have heard going around.  Also at Essendon stn I noticed a new route
map that proclaims there to be both 'M>train and Connex'.

Just a note on the latest bayside refurbishment of their hitachis seems so
be a very cheap and quick job.  The Seating units have not been painted
white, instead left their original cream color, the floor has been changed
to the grey rubber and they have left the original panel that runs down the
inside of the roof.  I suppose you cant complain, at least they have
completed refurbishing all their hitachis whist there are still a few
hillside hitachis running around in original condition.
