More information:

http://www.gsr.com.au/offers.htm

They didn't mention both coach class and <<Red Kangaroo sleeper>>
passengers can get free coffee and tea all day.

IMHO the reason they doing this is to ultility all the lounges and
dining cars GSR have. Currently GSR have 3 Queen Adelaide restaurants
and 1 Stuart restaurants and several unrefurbished restaurants. There
are 4 1st class lounges belongs to IP and 2 1st class lounges belongs
to Ghan.

By rebrand the service and loss the names of these lounges and dining
cars, GSR can substitute or exchange lounges/dinign cars between their
3 trains hence 1st class passengers can get refurbished dining cars and
lounges more often and less lounge cars idle at yard.(Would Overland
get a IP/Ghan lounge by any chance?) This idea also would improve
efficiency and cut cost to GSR without have to refurbish anymore
lounges/dining cars.
