Re: 1st Steam train

Yes, there was an earlier train: Pichi Richi ran a progressive dinner
train over New Year's Eve/morning, which involved two return trips Quorn
- Stirling North - Quorn.
The first train arrived in Quorn at 11:35pm, and the second departed at
1:00am (or thereabouts).
Both trains were hauled by oil-burner T186.

Cheers.
