Usually, but not always.  There were complaints in the Letters section of
newspapers about this some time ago.

Parramatta used to have this on its flip-dot indicators, prior to
installation of SPI.  I'm pretty sure the City Circle ones never had this,
and positive the Eastern Subs Line didn't.
