Re: Railway Digest Jan 2001

My apologies to all subscribers.
I'm afraid that the mailing house which envelopes and posts Railway Digest
each month has 'done it again'. (If it's not the Post, it's something else!)
In spite of having the magazine delivered to their premises on Thursday, 4
January, they did not have the magazine posted until the following Thursday.
The supposed agreed turnaround time is two working days which means they
should have been lodged by last Monday (8/1) at the latest.
I will be recommending to the publisher that the mailing contract with them
be reviewed, it has simply happened too many times. (I'm sick of their
excuses too.)
The subscription distribution problem simply unwinds a lot of the hard work
put in by the editorial staff and contributors. Hopefully Aus Post will have
the bulk of the mags delivered next week.
Thank you to those who brought the issue to our attention.
Regards
Derek Rogers
Editor - Railway Digest

NB: The magazine's email address will be changing soon.
