There was an announcement pre-Olympics that CityRail station staff were
being trained to use their initiative (the rest of us didn't seem to
need
that training in the first place).

One wonders if:
a) I missed the announcement of the de-training post Olympics (was this
part of the Olympic assets disposals?), or
b) If the train carrying the trainer to Hornsby in the first place was
cancelled. ;-)
