Re: Rail steel contract set to benefit Whyalla



Let me see......
144000 tonnes of 60 kg rail weighing 120 kg per metre (it's not a monorail)
is enough for 1200 km if I'm not mistaken. I thought Alice Springs to Darwin
was a touch over 1400 km. so who is making the rest of it? Maybe they have
downgraded the rail specification?
I hope there is going to be some passing loops - they could be useful unless
they are only going to use one train.
