The original driver for the train known as The Fish was a man named Heron,
so in the Cockney - cum - Australian style of nicknaming his train became
known as The Fish. When the second train was introduced to meet increased
demand it naturally became The Chips. There was a third train, which started
out as 46 class and cars back in the 70's which was named The Heron [
Terminated at emu Plains??] All three trains carried headboards up until the
early to mid-70's.
