That's why the NSW Fire Brigades developed the Bronto skylift a few years ago.
Basically they are a big cherry picker (~35-40m IIRC) which can bend halfway
(ie go over the top of the monorail and to the other side).
Been used for quite a few things now, but they are not cheap, around $1m last
time I heard.
