And the leftovers ????
There are
 30 G's in service
 23 X's in service
 7 A's in Service
Leaves 7 3000 HP engines left over. 6 if they bring back the Withdrawn X
So the possible uses for leftovers i think are.
1. Spares in case some fail.
2. Squeeze into the A's. Probably a tight fit.
3. Update The S's and still have 3 units for spares.
4. S.F.A.

I prefer #3 as i'd like to see the S's live on. Secondly there'd be no
disadvantage of the S's compared to the X's as the X's will be short end
only anyway.

Don't think there is enough room in an A but I could be wrong. scratch
