Six rail motor cars would be introduced on the western rail network to
replace CountryLink coaches if the State Government accepts a proposal
by Lachlan Regional Transport Committee. The proposal by LRTC, a
transport lobby group representing 13 councils in the region, is part of
a general push to have the State’s rail infrastructure used more
effectively.
