Amiens rail gun

Australian troops captured the "Amiens gun", a 280mm rail gun, near
Villers-Bretonneux in August 1918. It was used by the Germans for
shelling Amiens. It was dismantled and brought to Australia after the war.

The gun was reassembled and on display in Sydney in 1920. It was taken
to Canberra soon after, then dismantled. The barrel is preserved at the
Australian War Memorial, but the gun cradle, frame and bogies were taken
to the artillery proving ground in South Australia. It was still intact
at Port Wakefield as recently as 1963, but was sadly scrapped. The
bogies are reportedly still intact, possibly in storage at an army base
in Victoria.

Does anybody know of any photos of the gun either in Sydney, Canberra or
the frame in SA? Can anybody confirm the existence of the 8-wheel bogies?

Cheers
David
