The first set: 517M-1109T-698M had brake problems (it failed its brake
test). It required a brake test because the reason it was first to be
refurbished was it had an accident at Reservoir last year (hit a truck
on a level crossing).
This train has now had a boggie overhaul and will be tested again. If
it passes it will be joined with 615M-1158T-616M which was the set
transfered back last Friday (behind GNR 376) and it currently being
tested beyond Pakenaham. (each weekday morning). Then this second 6 car
train will enter service.
