NC1 and NC2 were, according to some info passed onto me, purchased with
the intent to replace steam on the Hawker run.

This did not happen, and NC2 never left Port Augusta. It was used to
provide parts for NC1 which visited Darwin for a while.

There are suggestions that NC1 was to be used to pull up the Hawker
line, but this didn't happen. NC1 replaced NB30 at PA as the shunter.

The body of NC2 is in Port Lincoln where it took the place of a Y that
PRR now cares for.

NC1 is still working at Peterborough.
