On Saturday I caught the 05:35 up train ex-PKM.. when it pulled into
Wollongong my carriage was deluged by dozens of South-East Asian women
(most fairly young and attractive.... probably Filipino judging from
the staccato, bouncy language they were speaking in) all in identical
blue gowns with ludicrously sized accreditations draped around their
neck. I thought it might have been the Filipino team, but on closer
inspection, their gownsleeves had "OFFICIAL PROVIDER HOUSEKEEPING
SERVICES 2000 SYDNEY OLYMPIC GAMES" embroidered onto them. So it
appears as though cleaners, bottlewashers, etc. have been imported from
Asia for the Games.

It's probably the first time the 05:35 weekend ex-PKM has ever been
standing room only. :-)
