NSW Buses take the heat off CityRail?

There have been many reports across Sydney of Olympics buses not turning up,
getting lost or going too fast (one driver was reported travelling at 140kph
near Olympic Park) with most of the problems blamed on country bus drivers
brought in for the event. Even bus drivers are complaining bout shuttle
buses not turning up to take them to their accommodation.

Of course it is easy to look in hindsight but it proves that you can't beat
local knowledge. Some of the drivers probably haven't been to Sydney and
sometimes, signage is confusing enough for Sydneysiders - so how what hope
does a non local have? It also reinforces that I never want to drive a bus
in Sydney (lucky the drivers don't have to collect fares or it would be
worse).

This has diverted attention away from CityRail. There were even reports that
people were happy with the trains for the first dress rehearsal (surely
not!!!!!!!!). All I can say is ausrailers, strap yourself in, it is going to
be an interesting few weeks.

Has anyone met an Olympian?
