Won't concede that point, not yet anyway.

Which is why you would not do it NOW. If you were starting from scratch (as
they were all those years ago) there is no reason why you would not or
should not have gates that accepts a ticket no matter which way it is
inserted. You could even reduce it from 4 to 2 mag-readers by having the
stripe in the middle of the ticket (like a lot of carparks at shopping
centres do).
