Friday Trains

Caught 8.22 am from Cheltenham (NSW) and there were spare seats all the
way to the city.  In fact, there was not that many passengers compared
to a normal workday. Set was targeted R39 and appeared to be a R set
with an L set spliced in as the 5th Car was a C car targeted L with the
6th being a D car. So the set was marshalled CTTC CDTC. Noted 2 V sets
parked, with one in the down relief at Rhodes and the other in the up
relief at North Strathfield.  8150 still sitting in the electric wiring
siding at Strathfield Junction.  Hope they change the crews often as it
must be boring just sitting there since Wednesday, for the duration?
Otherwise, City Rail has certainly lifted its game and if the situation
continues should be congratulated.
