Re: NSW Opposition claims rail shake-up a step in right direction

How convenient! The real problems started back two State Elections ago with
the election of a Labor Government which decided it had public support for
"reform" of the public transport system.
Some of us at that time were warning about the long term effects of
breaking-up the rail entities.
Why were they doing it anyway? What was the final objective that they had in
mind? There was plenty of evidence at the time coming out of the UK that
corporatisation and privatisation was a disaster.
Well we've seen the end results.
But will the government take the blame for what was really a badly thought
out political decision.? No way!
Just chop the bureaucrats who have carried out your intructions to the tee
and you have erased the public guilt.
What will really change anyway by just re-arranging the deckchairs?
