Its worth mentioning that some train simulators , even the el cheapo
ones are quite worthwhile if they use the correct train models and
apply the proper laws of physics to the simulation .
You can then see what happens in real life .
Ive been using Trainmaster3 for many years now ,and its good in the
above respects ,and even better in that the loco and rollingstock
models are ascii text files which you can read and modify if you wish.
I built a model of a 3000HP based XPT before Countrylink bought any to
see how much faster it would go.
Its also fun putting big loads behind 81s and watching then stall.
