Assuming you shot in auto, set the camera to manual, and meter from a few 
different spots. Assuming you're above an S set, my choice would be to set 
the camera to spot metering (does the MZ50 do this?) and meter off the roof 
of the train. I've found that lights can be an absolute killer when you 
have the camera set to the default (I think it's 7 segment) metering mode.

On the other hand, try the same on another roll of the same film, and 
process at a different lab and see what sort of results youre getting.

Personally, I would be using a slower film and a tripod - but that's me (:
