NSW Guards and Mobiles

In today's (15/10) Sunday Terrorgraph, there is a story about rail bosees
being unhappy about train guards diverting work issued (CityRail) mobiles to
messagebank type services. Does anyone have a non Terrorgraph knowledge of
this?


Obviously, mobile phones do not have 100% coverage in the CityRail area. So
if you are out of range or on a call, occupied or you don't hear it ring, it
will go through to messagebank. The article implied that some train guards
are sending calls through to messagebank on purpose.

So much for a thread ages ago about not being able to use a mobile while on
the job, they have been officially issued.
