Not going to be fun...

GSR would either have to send those cars that booked on motorail on a
truck or go the long way round to Adelaide. Passengers would need to
get on a bus at 2230 from Melbourne , wake up and hop on their train
around 2 am at Ararat.

SG interstate freight trains would be late for 1 day or more.
