Re: XPT's @ Olympic Park? WTF?

When i was working at the Olympics, I had to go there for some training
on a day that trackwork was occurring between Strathfield and the City.
An XPT passed through Olympic Park then too. You can tell when its
arriving as they turn on the ventilation fans in the tunnel before it
arrives.

I *think* that the Northern bound XPT goes from Sydney Terminal onto the
Bankstown line via Sydenham and then up the freight line and then
switches onto Olympic Park.

Not sure why they don't just stay on the freight line, perhaps the
passengars asked to see Olympic park ;)
