Surely if you want to catch the train, you would make yourself visible.

I doubt that any *sensible* person would sit in the confines of the waiting
room, and expect the driver to "potter" past and have a look for them.

In NZ There are signs everywhere asking you to make yourself visible to the
driver even when the trains are scheduled to stop there :)
