Re: Official announcemnt on Sydney to Canberra yet???

Not dead and buried yet. They're at the stage where if it gets the go
ahead from federal goverment, then they can go ahead with an
Environmental Impact Assessment and then produces and Environmental
Impact Statement (for the public to comment upon).


There was a rumour going about that unless a decision was made soon that
some of the stakeholders of Speedrail may withdraw their support.

There's also a decision on a second airport for Sydney that may effect
the decision on the high speed rail. Hopefully the politicians will make
up their minds soon.
