Very little number of passengers take train due to:

1. The frequency(Westlander runs 2 weekly only)
2. Longer journey time, train takes 4 hours, car can easily do in 2
hours.

3. Rather inconvinent timing (7pm->11pm and 7am-->11am)

I'm not sure about fare level. Althrough the scenery is quite good
especially on main range section, not many people take trains.


QR is investigating fast transit link between Toowoomba and Brisbane.
