10 years old is a bit soon to throw away a bus... take for example the Mk II
Mercedes-Benz O305's in Sydney - many of them are 22 years old now, and are
still performing satisfactorily.

Melbourne's Z class trams are slated for withdrawal upon delivery of new
vehicles - and they are only 25 years old.
