Unusual card tickets

Found an unusual ticket recently from the late 70s. A pink adult
"Suburban Return" issued from Mitchelton (Ferny Grove line) to Eagle
Farm (Pinkenba line). The forward portion is marked "via Brisbane" (ie
Central), but the return portion is just Eagle Farm to Mitchelton (which
would require a change at Bowen Hills, or probably Mayne when the ticket
was printed.) The stationmaster who sold it to me explained that a
regular customer used to go shopping in the city on a Saturday morning,
then catch a train to the races, and return home from there without
going back via the city. Are there any other return tickets about with
slightly different journeys on each half?

An even stranger one from the same period is a pink adult card "Suburban
Single" from Brisbane to Brisbane!! The distance shown is 1km. There
is an explanation. Until the last days of Edmonson tickets, tickets
issued to or from Brisbane Central station always showed "Brisbane",
probably harking back to the days when long distance trains also
commenced from there. (These days the computer generated tickets show
Bne Central). At the old Roma Street before rebuilding, although
country and suburban tickets sold "downstairs" at the entrance to the
subway showed "Roma Street", the country booking office upstairs issued
tickets showing "Brisbane". They had quite a few issues from Brisbane
to suburban stations. They would not issue these for regular suburban
travel. However if a passenger had, say, a ticket booked from
Indooroopilly to Charleville, intending to catch a suburban to Corinda
or Ipswich and pick up the Westlander there, and later changed their
mind and came into Roma St to board the train, they would be issued with
a Suburban Single Brisbane to Indooroopilly to make up the difference.
The Brisbane to Brisbane issue was apparently for people with tickets
from Central to northern country destinations who then wanted to board
the train where it originated at Roma Street. (Though I could never
fully understand the logistics of this as they would have had a ticket
from "Brisbane" in any case). But, nevertheless, Brisbane to Brisbane
tickets existed!

Any other oddities like this about?
