Silent protest about not being listed on the Martin Place screens? Okay...
so Bondi Junction through to Kings Cross don't indicate the stop as
there's probably little point changing the old indicators with plasma
displays already installed (though not operational)... but you'd have
thought they'd have fixed the Martin Place stopping list. They have,
after all, sorted out a "Wolli Creek" announcement at all said stations...
even if it does sound like the poor bloke was being strangled to death
while they recorded it.

At Martin Place the "Wolli Creek" is so bad that it sounds like they're
using special low quality speakers just for that one. :)

But Martin Place announcements are just plain weird anyway. On Monday
they decided to terminate a Down service there, but as the train pulled
into the platform all we got was a flood of "The next train on Platform 1
goes to Sutherland...". Only after the train was checked for and cleared
of passengers, the doors closed and it began to move off, did we finally
get "The train on Platform 2 terminates here..."... and that announcement
came over the Platform 1 speakers anyway.

Yes, several Sutherland-bound passengers *did* try to board the
terminating service in response to the announcements.
