what for the ex "X" 16-645e's

If as reported in Track and Signal (and previously mentioned by someone on
this list) FA have ordered new Engines for the G's with their Engines going to
X's then what for those displaced power plants??...could these be fodder for
rebuilding say ex QR 1502's ..maybe rerating the engines at 2000Hp after
rebuilding...chopping noses and installing q-tron gear....make a very  handy
bunch of locos!! Good prospect possibly for a lease company to consider...not
everyone wants or can use big 3-3500 Hp locos ..especially on so-so
track!!....ah just another silly idea.
