Since all NSW steam locos are now "preserved" it would be a pointless
exercise to use these prices as a guide for future sales. For one
thing none are for sale, or are ever likely to be ... unless you are
talking 10 or maybe 20 times the original purchase price. Even then a
sale would be doubtful. Swapping for a more sought after item would
probably be more successful.
