[NSW] Tangara D6126 is quiet...

I notice today when I ride on the Tangara D6126 (T17) in the 4th out of
the 8 cars that there is no normal electric buzzing sound when the train
is acerating (but I can still hear the air compressors).

But I just wondering is the electric traction motor (in the middle
Driver cars) is switched off (in normal procedure) when 8 cars are
attached or does it have some mechanical problems which has to be
switched off.
