The report I saw (Channel 7) said that it derailed at a crossing loop
called "Baffle", about 50Km north of Bundaberg.  It was apparently
restarting after a power failure (overhead?), and was only travelling
about about 10Km/h when it derailed.  Only the lead two cars came off
the track.

The Channel 7 news took the usual alarmist media line - "what would have
happened if this happened at 170Km/h? ...".
