[Vic] Warrnambool Line Upgrading

Hi,

Although the welding of the Warrnambool line is now complete, an 80km/h
speed restiction was enforced last week over the entire Sth Geelong -
Warrnambool section acc. track condition. This of course has a
significant impact on train timekeeping! As of today the line speed is
lifted to 100km/h, with several sections at 80km/h. (note normal line
speed is 115km/h)

A ballast train program commences tomorrow (Wed 8/3) using GN loco's,
they're running empty to Camperdown tomorrow (ex-Melbourne around the
4am mark, cross 8220 at Colac, and then stable at Camperdown). Over the
next couple of weeks, ballast will be loaded at Camperdown, and the
train will work as required in both directions from Camperdown.

Regards,
Craig.
