This whole thread was based on an incorrect starting premise.
The Yarra livery is like a modern aeroplane: basic white with an applied
logo.  The only grey is the lower body skirt.  The logo is a leaf emblem
in blue & green.  The whole effect is very nineties (or even very
noughties), rather than very Melbourne.
