Train Dispatcher 2.0 is a lot of fun. Although it isn't exactly a
simulation, Railroad Tycoon 2 by PopTop is also a good game if you like
strategy. The minimum system requirements for RT2 are:
- P133
- 16mb RAM
- 4X CD-ROM
- 1024 * 768 compatible video card and monitor
- 130mb HDD space
- Windows 95/98
I have the following system and it runs fine:
- PII 400
- 64mb RAM
- 24X CD-ROM
- 16mb RivaTNT graphics card. (soon to be replaced!)
- 17in monitor capable of 1280x1024.
- Windows 95B
Go to http://www.poptop.com/ for the developer's site or
http://www.godgames.com/ for the distributor's site.
Train Dispatcher 2 should run on just about any modern computer. I can't
remember the URL for the web site but there is an Australian distributor
who is at most model railway exhibitions. He sells it for around $70.
Of course if you like first person shooters you can get Half-Life and
drive around a monorail thingy in the level "On a rail". :-)
