This line will follow a very different route to the old one. The
proposal is for a branch line running underground all the way from a
point between Epping and Cheltenham, under West Pennant Hills to Castle
Hill. But it's a long way off. If it is built, it won't be until after
the parramatta-chatswood line is finished, in 2006.
There is also an option to extend it to mungerie park, in the Rouse Hill
area.

The original Castle Hill line started at parramatta and ran through
Northmead and Baulkham Hills and finished near the junction of Castle
hill road and old northern road.
