Actually it's a silly idea, and has been discussed at much length in the
past. Binaries newsgroups are an anachronism from the days before the WWW.
These days, binaries have very poor distribution and very short life
spans. Many news admins do not carry any binaries newsgroups on their
servers.
A posting will be lucky to be active for more than a few days, sometimes
even a few hours. Deja and Altavista do not archive binaries.
If you have a picture, sound or some video, you're better off putting it
on a web page. There are plenty of free web hosts around. It will then
stay there until you decide to remove it. Then just post the URL here.
RailPage also has picture and audio archives. A video archive can be added
as soon as required.
