This subject got a bashing on the talkback radio stations. The general
comments were:
1. The NSW government won't green light Badgerys Creek due to voter
repercussions in the forthcoming election.
2. Voters generally support, or are indifferent to a VFT.
1 + 2 = Take the heat off the Badgerys Creek debate by telling the
electorate the government will concentrate on a VFT before they consider
Badgerys Creek, and can't afford both projects simultaneously.
Result for NSW before the next election: Neither project gets started.
Result for NSW after the next election: Badgerys Creek debate starts up
again / VFT debate put on hold until Badgerys Creek debate gets too hot.

Russ.
