Re: Eric's Media Competition (Was [NSW] my free travels today

I was interviewed by NBN3 Television Newcastle following the running of the
last 32 class from Singleton back in the early 70's. We'd travelled to
Maitland on 19 North paper train - 1.10am from Sydney terminal, and returned
to Sydney later that morning. The weather wasn't much warmer than it's been
the last few days, and we were grateful for the coal fire burning in the
waiting room at Maitland station.

I didn't see the result until they broadcast a flashback on the occasion of
the 20th anniversary of that last run about eight years ago. I have an
acquaintance who won't let me live it down, since I'm about four stone
heavier and minus the longish hair of the period.
