These being Airport Link & the Regional Services. From what I understood
the bloke from DOI said at a recent presentation I attended, if Airport Link
goes via Albion, and the Fast Regional Services is implemented, then
Footscray to Sunshine will need quadruplication. In addition, Sunshine
would receive some sort of grade separation. This enables AFAIK the Airport
& Regional Passes to use the 'Through' lines, and the Sparks to use the
'Local' lines. Without this, I gather, there aren't enough paths between
SKN & SUN for all these services otherwise.
