Interesting article in July edition of Rail 2000 about this line ,(if indeed
there still is a line).
Seems that wallaroo is a major grain centre generating in excess of 350000
tonnes of grain annually which is all moved currently by road.
Recently some 240000 tonnes of grain had to be moved by truck to Pt Giles ,
some 118 kms away which required some 5000 trucks .
Does anyone know what the status of this line is ,ie is any of it SG and how
far does it go,and who owns it ASR,SA Govt ,ARTC ?
