AFAIK the red hens ran fine but for whatever reason have been rejected.
Perhaps GNR isn't prepared to invest in the overhauling required to run the
service?? Personally, I think the whole thing about out of gauge railcars is
a smokescreen for VLP when they dumped the bluebirds to save the
embarrasment.
